Enlightenment, a dudes perspective.

So I've become a Dudeist priest.

I would say that I follow the Tao of the Dude because I am still a Taoist, but I'm also a Dude too.

So having now explained my current state of being I will explain the purpose of this post,

Someone posted on facebook "what does enlightenment mean?" and I responded with this and thought I would like to blog it, so here it is.

Enlightenment is oneness, that's all it is. It's not even love, love is not necessary when there is wholeness, you are the universe, it is not separated into individual local entities, it just seems like that. So when you are the universe there is only one thing to comprehend, the whole of existence and reality and the basic simplicity of merely existing, unaware and infinitely aware at the same time. Comprehend the Tao and you'll know what enlightenment is, it can't be explained in words because the Tao that can be described is not the eternal Tao, and enlightenment is finally having those unspeakable words to describe it yourself.

So it's kinda like just getting it by just trying to get it in your own head, without words and stuff. You just gotta meditate on the here and now and infinity and everything just being what it is in it's basic sense and not what you think it is, which is a thing, because it's not a thing, nothing is a thing, everything is just is-ness, and that's all it is.

But don't forget, Dudes... This is just like my opinion, man.
